Star Trek: Lost

A smell fills the air around you. It has a hint of something sweet while having a heartwarming quality to it. If you were Terran you might notice the smell is of fresh-baked rum-muffins. The voice of a young child speaks in your native tongue, "Are you ready? It's time to go." from parts around you.

This is one of many possible introductions we can work off at Star Trek: Lost. We thrive on one thing and one thing alone, Personal Character Development. We do not do your typical missions with a set command team but rather let you explore the environment that has been created by our team of writers. We aim to offer something for everyone who is looking to work out new or refine old character concepts and need a place to write them out. You will be Q’ed in and then when you are satisfied with your character and wish to move them along, we will Q you away. Bring in almost any character from almost any universe (some restrictions apply) and explore this strange new world we call Dava 4.

"Oh how dull. Here I thought that the whole of the planet was going to erupt and wipe them out. Well...the bits and pieces that are occupied by the colony." Q said sounding a bit disappointed.

"You sound as if you want them to die." The Prophet said as she looked down on the planet from her all-seeing perspective. "The Maz one seems to be in a bit of trouble. Are you not going to assist him this time? I know he is one of your favorites."

"Only for the reasons you well know. Alais I must let them decide their next path. I have already caused enough damage to cause them to hate me. Look for instance that Tantrin fellow." Q stated.

"Much darkness in that one, I fear. Darkness caused by your carelessness I might add." The Prophet said.

"How am I suppose to be right one hundred percent of the time? Besides the darkness is already in him from before. I nearly attempted to save him from becoming Borg."

"Your intentions were admirable but the results are the same."

"I had to pull the Jedi, the one that could save him from the path. Then you brought in someone to fuel the darkness in him."

"I did what you would have done and placed someone to contrast what I would have done, nothing more, nothing less."

"When his time is ready, I will return him to the field of play. For now, he must remain where he is for his peoples sake."

"You think too linier. You /could/ pull him at any time but your so stuck in the when and how."

"No I am not, thank you. I believe in personal character development of the people and beings that I pull."

The Prophet gave her a look as though she was saying 'Seriously?' just with her face.

Q shrugged, "Personal development is what they need to live for. They seek various things but in the end, they are all the same and care about themselves."

The Prophet looked at her again with a face that could be described as confusion. "Say that one more time, more clearly please."

"They care about themselves is what I am getting at." Q said.

"Anyway... Put the Jedi back into place as well as the rest that you took. Your messing with the plan."

"Fine, but I am not too happy about it." Q said in response then disappeared.

Q looked to her counterpart, a Prophet from one specific wormhole. "Wait, hold up. This...this is all wrong."

"What do you mean it's wrong? This is how it was destined to go based on the choices they have made." The Prophet said.

"No no I am rewriting this tale. This is all wrong. They are all over the place and lost with no sense of direction." Q stated as she began to twirl her finger over what could be called an observation table based on its design and monkey brain people's grasp of concepts.

The Prophet set her hand on Q's arm. "Leave them intact the way they are. Do not interfere with the plan."

Q smiled and looked down at the table, "All I am doing is clearing the field a little. Perhaps even giving them a slight....advantage over what's to come."

And with the final twirl of her finger, the weather around the planet began to dissipate. The energy collected from the storm was enough to trigger the backup power supply for Jenj, bringing her back online once more.

"There, a small favor repaid to an old friend. Now, let's watch to see what they do, shall we?" The Q said as they both looked over the table carefuly.

On the night of the two hundred and fifty-ninth day, lightning struck the shielding system of the colony. The first strike dissipated across the shielding system. The light show, should anyone happen to be inside the dome but outside the buildings would be an awe-inspiring sight. However, it was the second strike that was most terrifying. The shield rippled causing it to fail within seconds. With a loud pop, the power shut down across the colony, including defensive systems, shield controls, and even Jenj. As the colony went dark, save for the lightning strikes outside, the cold city began to grow warmer as the weather outside began to create a much warmer atmosphere very rapidly. The wind howling against the now open ship access to the dome. Rain fell creating a rush of very hot water and humidity.
